Cassel Mennonite Church
A Place to Worship God and Serve Jesus Christ!

Missions: Across the Street!
Each month a group of our members provides a Sunday afternoon worship service at one of three local nursing homes. This is a cooperative effort with other churches that insures such services are available at all the homes each Sunday.

We enthusiastically support the work of Operation Sharing in nearby Woodstock, Ontario. Operation Sharing of Woodstock is a volunteer organization run by a Board of Directors representing various churches in the community to assist those in need. Operation Sharing presently operates Food For Friends program (a food card that can be used in local grocery stores), The Meeting Place (drop-in centre) at New St. Paul's Church, and works in cooperation with The Adelaide Soup Bowl at 1st Baptist Church and the Community Kitchen at St. Rita's Catholic Church. A wide variety of programs are run to help meet the wide array of needs in the community including adult education, labour service, family education, a food co-op, summer children’s program, advocacy, employment assistance, The Christmas Place (Christmas gifts for low-income families), Coats for Kids, and chaplain’s, Bible study and chapel services. Members of our church serve on the board, other committees and as volunteers at Operation Sharing.

Ingamo House in Woodstock, Ontario, provides emergency shelter, assistance and resources for women and childeren who are victims of domestic abuse. We are pleased to add our support to their ministry to people in these desperate circumstances.

Agape Fellowship in London, Ontario, is a church family of people who do not feel comfortable in established churches, people struggling with assorted economc and personal issues. We at Cassel Church are privileged to share in ministry with this remarkable group of Christians!
